Digit Crew Accounting (Pty) Ltd is a South African accounting practice led by Lize Richmond, a Chartered Business Accountant in Practice and registered tax practitioner. When you opt in to receive our free checklist or make a booking through our website, we collect your first name and email address. When you book an appointment through our scheduling tool, we may also collect additional contact details you provide at that time.
We do not collect sensitive personal information, financial records, or any information beyond what is needed to communicate with you.
How we collect it
We collect personal information in the following ways:
When you complete an opt-in form to receive our free checklist or other content, your details are captured through Systeme.io, the platform we use to manage our email list and deliver content to you.
When you book an appointment through our website, your details are captured through TidyCal, our scheduling tool.
Why we collect it
We collect your information for the following reasons. To deliver the content you have requested. To send you follow-up emails related to the content you opted in for. To respond to enquiries or booking requests. To communicate with you about our services where you have given us permission to do so.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not share your information with anyone except the platforms listed in this policy that help us deliver our services.
Third party platforms
To deliver our services we use the following third party platforms, each of which processes your data on our behalf:
Systeme.io is our email marketing and funnel platform. It stores your name and email address and is used to send you emails you have opted in to receive. Systeme.io is based outside South Africa. By opting in you consent to your information being processed on their platform.
TidyCal is our appointment scheduling tool. When making a booking you will be asked a few questions about your business to help us prepare for our conversation. This may include information about your business type, size, or financial situation. We treat this information as confidential. It is used only to prepare for your appointment and will not be shared with any third party beyond what is necessary to deliver our scheduling service. TidyCal is based outside South Africa. By making a booking you consent to your information being processed on their platform.
How long we keep your information
We keep your information for as long as you remain subscribed to our email list or have an active relationship with us. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your information, we will remove it promptly.
Your rights under POPIA
You have the right to know what personal information we hold about you. You have the right to request correction of information that is inaccurate. You have the right to request deletion of your information. You have the right to withdraw your consent to receive marketing emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email we send you or by contacting us directly at info@digitcrew.co.za.
Cookies
Our website may use basic cookies to function correctly. We do not use cookies to track your behaviour across other websites or to serve you targeted advertising directly through our own website.
